About Rose Breasted Cockatoo
Buy Rose Breasted Cockatoo is most commonly known as the Galah, and it’s one of the most unique, widespread, and popular parrots in the large and diverse cockatoo family. This bird stands apart with its distinct and beautiful plumage, as well as with its fun and lovable temperament. Although very peculiar, this parrot is one of the most common sights in its natural home and has become a popular and loved choice for a pet parrot. Let’s meet the Galah!
Galahs are unique and lovely members of the cockatoo family. There’s so much to love about them. Galahs are native to almost the entire Australian continent, with only a few small regions as an exception. With such an impressive distribution, the populations of these parrots are steadily rising and have adapted to live in most conditions. In Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, small flocks of Galah cockatoos are a loved and common sight.
These bright and lively cockatoos are unique but still share plenty of traits with the rest of their family. They have slender, graceful, and proportionate bodies, with distinct cockatoo crests on their head. The adults reach an average length of 14 inches (35 centimeters) and can weigh up to 12 ounces (350 grams). Although seemingly identical, the males and females have one tiny difference – the color of the irises!

I got my baby Rose Breasted Cockatoo, Zelda, from David back in March. She is now 14 months old and doing great. She stepped up right when she got home, accepted veg and pellets straight away, and was very people oriented.
Zelda came clipped which I was very unhappy about, but it’s very clear she was allowed to fledge, and I recognize now I should’ve read over the TOS before I placed a deposit (this was my first experience going through a breeder so I was not the best educated). She’s a great flyer considering she is an indoor bird and clipped. I plan on enrolling her in a free flight course as soon as her feathers grow back.
A while back, I wrote a negative review because I simply expected more from such an expensive breeder– but again, this was because I was uneducated. I’ve looked around at other breeders and realized disease testing was not the norm. my family recently got another cockatiel and although we only paid $300 for her, disease testing was $500. I really never realized how expensive disease testing was.
I do have one complaint, and that was that I never got to visit Zelda when she was still weaning despite being told I could beforehand. When I called and asked to schedule an appointment to meet her for the first time, I was told “I don’t know which baby is yours”. I was confused but kept my mouth shut because I was too nervous to ask anything after that. I will gladly delete this paragraph if I get some sort of explanation.
Again, I want to apologize for my previous review. I recognize now that I was uneducated in baby birds as a whole. My only birds before Zelda was a middle aged cockatiel and 2 young budgies past their baby stage. Zelda is my very best friend and I plan to have her as long as she lives.

Jungle Birds Farm is by far the best breeder out there. Our baby Galah Stella arrived safely to CT from his place in Maine. David answered all my questions during the entire process from considering my new feathered baby to the weeks after she arrived. Before she arrived he sent me video and photos of her. She was so sweet and socialized and was already harness trained! When I took her to the Avian Vet, they said she was the sweetest healthiest baby they have seen! I would recommend David because he raises his birds with the most gentle loving care.

David and his team do great work! They will take good care of you and your bird. My beautiful baby galah cockatoo is the most quiet and sweet bird I’ve ever known. He came to me stepping up like a pro and he loves getting his belly rubbed. They honestly deserve all these raving reviews!
